Erin Patton is an attorney at Potts, Shoemaker & Grossman who focuses her practice solely on family law matters including divorce, child support, APL/spousal support, custody (including in loco parentis rights), protection from abuse, adoption, and name changes. Erin is a lifelong resident of Chester County; she graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School, and magna cum laude from Neumann College. While in law school, Erin interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Katherine B.L. Platt and the Honorable Anthony A. Sarcione of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas as well as the Chester County Family Court Master’s Unit. She also participated in the Veteran’s Law Clinic and assisted disabled veterans in obtaining benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Erin has practiced family law exclusively since being admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. During law school Erin also focused her attention on family law, gaining experience as a law clerk first for Judge Platt and later for a solo practitioner in Chester County. Erin was a member of the Chester County Family Court Rules Committee from 2019-2022 and is currently an active member of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Chester County Bar Association Family Law Sections as well as the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court.

In her time away from the office, Erin enjoys spending time at the beach or the park with her husband, daughter, and two dogs and also loves to curl up on the couch with a good book.

Erin looks forward to compassionately advocating for her clients and helping them solve even the most stressful family law issues.
